I guess you all know my passion about bowls, more specifically, fat bowls. I call as fat bowls because I always add good fat to it. Delicious, easy to make, healthy and beautiful (yessss!) the fat bowls are my first meal of the day after my fasting and I anxiously wait for that special moment of indulgent lol.
To help you out, here are my favorite tips to make the perfect creamy bowl:
Always have frozen banana or frozen cauliflower. They "work" as a base for the creamy texture. If you need to reduce your carb intake, cauliflower is better.
You don't have to make them sweet, but if you like more sweet, prefer to use honey, dates, maple syrup or stevia.
Instead of cow's milk, use coconut milk, almond milk, coconut water or even water. And you do not need a lot. Just enough to help blending.
Healthy sources of fat to use: avocado, coconut oil, coconut, MCT oil, nut butters.
Eat right after blending it. Otherwise it loses its creamy texture and taste different.
Always add some greens: spinach, kale...
Don't forget a clean protein, like whey protein, bone broth protein or plant-based.
Have fun with topping! Choose at least 3 differents ones, like chaia seeds, pumpkins seeds, cashews, bee polen, coconut, nut butters, hemps seeds, goji berry...
