My 3 Favorite Guacamole Recipes

Oh avocados! What an amazing food. Great source of good fats, rich in fiber (helps with your weight loss), potassium (more than banana), low glycemic index (no blood sugar spikes) and such an incredible food for your skin because of its antioxidants, like vitamin C.

We can go on and on with its benefits for your health and find numerous recipes, but since today is National Guac Day, I wanted to bring my 3 favorite guacamole recipes. The classic one, one with kale, artichokes and carrots and a creamy one with sour cream!

Guacamole is such an easy recipe, healthy, yummy that any busy person (like me!!) can make it anytime. And besides healthy chips you can use to dip into it, options like carrots, cucumber or celery are always welcome to make even healthier.

Classic Guacamole Recipe (AKA my husband famous recipe)

  • 4 avocados

  • 1 tomato, chopped and seeded

  • 1 garlic clove, minced

  • 1/2 small red onion, finely chopped

  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice

  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro leaves

  • 1 jalapeno, minced

  • Sea salt

  • Fresh ground black pepper

In a bowl, mash avocados well and then add tomato, lime juice, garlic, red onion, and cilantro.

Mix well.

Stir in jalapeno.

Season with sea salt and pepper.

Super Healthy Guac

In a skillet over medium-heat, add olive oil and and heat for 2 minutes. Add kale and saute until for 5 minutes, then add salt. Let it cool off.

In a bowl add the avocados, garlic, 1/2 of the lemon juice and salt then mash well.

Stir in the kale and artichoke hearts, sprinkle the granted carrot and make sure it is well seasoned.

Creamy Guac Recipe

  • 3 avocados

  • 2/4 cup full fat sour cream

  • 1 lime juice

  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin

In a bowl, mash avocados well and then add the sour cream, lime juice. Mix well. Season with the sea salt and spices.
