Dark Chocolate Power Balls

I love power balls!

They are sweet, delicious and packed with good fats. Just so perfect! This recipe became my favorite and it is easy-peasy to make.

  • 1 ½ cups pitted medjool dates

  • ½ cup almond butter

  • ¼ cup 100% cocoa powder

  • ¼ cup coconut oil

  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup, stevia or coconut sugar

  • ½ tablespoon vanilla extract

How to make:

In a blender or food processor, puree the dates and almond butter.

While the mixture is blending, place a piece of parchment paper on a tray.

When the mixture is smooth, make (with your hands) 12 balls and place them on the tray and then freeze the balls for 30 minutes.

Then make the chocolate. Melt coconut oil and add the cocoa, the sweetener and the vanilla extract.

Remove the tray from the freezer and dip each ball into the chocolate, cover them all. You can use a fork or a toothpick to dip each one into the chocolate.

After covering them all, put back into the freezer for more 30 minutes. Take them out before serving and keep them after in fridge.

PS.: You can sprinkle some coconut, chia seeds, turmeric or use almond, pistachio, chocolate chips.
